In this study, the effect of LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotics education on academic achievement, attitude and computational thinking skills of the learners toward science was examined. While gaining 21st century skills, conducting interdisciplinary studies is becoming importance and increasing the efficiency. The acquisition of these skills to individuals is not sufficient with traditional education and difficulties are experienced in adapting to the age. There can be no other fun way of learning SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY! No prior experience in robotics/coding required.Today, the essential skills and characteristics of individuals change within the frame of changing needs. LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 brings to life 280 building elements that motivate students to collaborate, build, problem-solve, and explore, all while deepening their STEAM learning and developing 21st-century skills. WeDo 2.0 strengthens students’ understanding of the science and engineering concepts through fun engineering projects in which they design and program cool products. Kids will be creating models using the main brick, motors, sensors, LED lights and speaker ! As with other LEGO Education products it follows the 4 C’s process – Connect to a story, Construct a model, Contemplate its function, and Continue improving its design. LEGO WeDo is a robotics hardware and software platform specifically designed for Kindergarten to Grade 2 students. This program is for beginners with high potential for advanced programming projects and is especially designed for kids in Kindergarten – Second Grade.Students will be engaged in project based learning using WeDo 2.0 Robotic Kits and will be taught to design, build and program their creations.
